Natural Science Illustration for Teens

Who: Grades 7-12
What: Six session classes exploring the wonders of nature through applied art. We will draw insects, Arachnids, water drops, animals, seashells, feathers, fur, and flowers using a variety of techniques including pen & ink, scratchboard, watercolor, acrylics and graphite. Students will also learn about various artists and be gently guided in the art of critique. Classes limited to six students.
Important: Students should come with an interest in art and drawing and be able to focus for two hours.
Instructor: Peggy Edwards, natural science illustrator & credentialed teacher K-12 ~ B.S. U. C. Berkeley & graduate of UCSC’s Natural Science Illustration Program ~ Owner of Sierra Nature Prints.
Where: Sierra Nature Prints Studio
When: Tuesdays 4:00-6:00
Feb. 14 to Mar. 20.
April 24 to May 29.
Cost: $150 per six week session paid in advance
plus $25 materials fee.
